Children on the Sand Dunes, Grandcamp

Normandy set free: children, sand, wind. On the sands of Grandcamp, children play beneath a sky brushed with a rapid touch (1877–1878, 46 × 56 cm, National Gallery of Ireland). Gonzalès paints outdoors, like the Impressionists she frequents without joining.
