Montagne Sainte-Victoire with Large Pine

The exhibition poster: the mountain as absolute. A pine in the foreground, the violet Sainte-Victoire under an intense blue sky (c. 1887, 66.8 × 92.3 cm, Courtauld). More than 80 versions will follow: the mountain is no longer a motif, it is paint.
