Woman Bathing (La Toilette)

Japonisme in drypoint: the most radical. A woman at her basin, 1890–1891 (Breeskin 148, 4th state, 35.9 × 26.3 cm, Terra Foundation impression 1996.87; same state as the BnF Ce-4(2)-Fol impression shown at Orsay). The ten color plates, shown complete at Orsay, open Cassatt's most experimental phase.
