Woman with a Coffeepot

Neither seated nor standing: the monumental domestic. A servant in a blue dress, hieratic beside a tilting table (c. 1895, 130 × 97 cm, Musée d'Orsay, Vollard collection). Geometry against anecdote.

This work appears in the Grand Palais exhibition 'Cezanne et nous' (23 September 2026 – 17 January 2027).
